We should all take a moment to evaluate our role within the mental health community. No matter what your role may be, mental health impacts many of us and doesn’t discriminate against any of us. Whether you are a client or a caregiver, if you do not take time to manage your mental health it can impede on your daily activities, relationships and ability to cope with the stressors of everyday life.
Please take a moment to get out of your own head, stop listening to the negative voices around you and caring about what others think. Instead, I want you to focus on you and your happiness. Everyone can tell you what to do, but never can provide insight on how to get in done. Well, I am going to suggest that you first take a moment to be grateful for the things that you currently have. From there, I want you to set goals to head toward the things you would like for your life and then list the positive attributes you have to get those things accomplished.
Stop being so hard on yourself! Everyone has something positive about themselves. You just have to give yourself credit for the small things because they are really bigger than you could ever imagine. You make a difference no matter if you notice the significance in the things that you do or not. If you still can not identify the things you have to offer, I encourage you to take a walk, read a self-help book or meditate while considering therapy. Believe it or not, it can help and we here at Guiding Creative Minds Counseling welcome you!
